## TL;DR

```sh
# Install the tool.
apt install 'attr'
dnf install 'attr'

# Add extended attributes.
setfattr -n 'name' -v 'value' 'path/to/file.1' … 'path/to/file.N'

# Remove extended attributes.
setfattr -x 'name' 'path/to/file.1' … 'path/to/file.N'
```
